RCCA Summer Hours
RCCA summer office hours will begin June 21, 2010. Monday- Thursday 8am-12pm. RCCA office: 748-3301.
June 4, 2010 10am-11am Kindergarten Graduation
Grade 6 Graduation, Awards for grades 1-5
The grade 6 students will be holding their graduation and awards program on June 11, 2010 at 1:00pm, cookie and punch reception to follow in the gym. Students in grades 1-5 who are receiving either perfect attendance award or physical fitness award will receive those at this time. Parents are encouraged and welcome to come.
Sophomore Class News
The sophomore class will be selling root beer floats for $1.00 during upper elementary and high school lunch periods on Friday, June 11, 2010. Please come prepared to be refreshed!
Instrumental Lessons 2010-11
A form for students interested in taking instrumental lessons (band, woodwind or limited beginning percussion) next school year will be sent home to 3-6 grade students and will be available at the office for older students. Please return form by June 15, 2010.
Piano Lessons
Piano lessons are being offered at RCCA once again this year (2010-2011) by Sharon Matias. If your student is interested in taking lessons, please contact Sharon at 759-9935.
June School Lunch News
School lunch counter will be serving food until June 11. June 14 & 15 the lunch counter will be open to microwave and sell chips, ice cream etc if there is any available. As of today, we have no spaghettios.
Textbooks
All textbooks must be turned in by June 18, 2010. Your school account will be charged for any books not returned or returned in unusable condition.
Owego Strawberry Festival Parade June 19, 2010
RCCA has the opportunity to be in the Owego Strawberry Festival Parade on June 19, 2010. We are in need of participants! The float decorating party will be held at the Paul Sage home on Friday, June 18 from 6-8pm. The meeting spot on June 19 is on Academy Street in front of the County Office Building in Owego, at 9am. Please call RCCA at 748-3301 for information or if you would like to join the fun. Mrs. Teresa Thorne our contact person.
Graduation
The RCCA graduating class of 2010 will have their commencement ceremony on June 19, 2010 beginning at 10am seniors must arrive by 9:30am to prepare for the event. The dress code for the seniors must be school dress or better. Friday, June 18, the seniors will practice the commencement; they must arrive at school by 10am.
Ramorama / BC Senator T-shirts for Sale
RCCA will be selling Ramorama shirts (from years gone by) and BC Senator T-shirts. The cost is only $0.25. They will be located in boxes next to the trophy cases. Please pay in the office.
Mini Basketball Camp held at RCCA
Mr. Cope and Mr. Slawta will be holding a mini basketball camp in the RCCA gym for Jr. High boys. Come on August 2, 3 & 4 from 9am-12pm. I know a good time will be had by all and much basketball knowledge will be learned.
Hiawatha Rowing Camp
Boys and Girls ages 13-18 are invited to attend a rowing camp from July 12-17. The cost is $110 and runs from 8:00am-12:00pm. For additional information, contact Dan Hogan at (607) 687-0639 or dh2770@gmail.com.
